Question:- 1. You will probably agree that this story does not have breathless adventure and exciting action. Then what in your opinion makes it interesting?
Answer:- Despite the fact that the story isn’t particularly exciting, the author’s description of the entire situation is fascinating. The seamless flow of emotive storytelling, on the other hand, adds to the overall appeal. This was written from the viewpoint of a nine-year-old boy. The child, who comes from a poor household and is known for his integrity, can’t imagine his brother stealing a horse to ride. This is intriguing in and of itself for the youngster. The writer has idealised every thought that runs through the boy’s head after seeing the horse. The two boys had accomplished amazing feats of adventure by riding the stolen horse and properly concealing it. However, their family is known for their morals, and they have the same trait. They conquer their yearning and restore the horse to its proper owner after a while.
Question:- 2. Did the boys return the horse because they were conscience-stricken or because they were afraid?
Answer:- The boys returned the horse because they were conscience-stricken not because they were afraid. They reurned the horse out of guilt, not fear. They were members of the Garoghlanian family, who were well-known for their honesty and integrity. They once stole a lovely white horse due to their enthusiasm for riding and having fun.
Question:- 3. “One day back there in the good old days when I was nine and the world was full of every imaginable kind of magnificence, and life was still a delightful and mysterious dream…” The story begins in a mood of nostalgia. Can you narrate some incident from your childhood that might make an interesting story?
Answer:- No one can stop oneself from going down memory lane after reading such lines. I recall being twelve years old at the time. I used to go to my grandmother’s house, which was in a hill station. My entire summer vacation would be spent with them. We’d go to the market for delectable snacks, go shopping, and watch TV together. I recall once spending a month at a summer camp. They would drop me off at the location and return to pick me up once the courses were finished. My grandma would occasionally bring me a packed lunch. I’d eat it as quickly as we could go shopping thereafter. When I had to return to my house to return to school, I was always upset.
Question:- 4. The story revolves around characters who belong to a tribe in Armenia. Mourad and Aram are members of the Garoghlanian family. Now locate Armenia and Assyria on the atlas and prepare a write-up on the Garoghlanian tribes. You may write about people, their names, traits, geographical and economic features as suggested in the story.
Answer:- The Garoghlanian family belonged to an Armenian clan. It was the wealthiest tribe in that region of the world eleven centuries ago. The tribe’s members were praised for their morals. They eventually settled in places like Fresno and California. The Garoghlanian tribe is a group that works in current conditions while remembering the ideals of their homeland Armenia’s history. They were ecstatic about their family. They valued honesty and had a good sense of right and wrong.
