Answer:- The farmer and his wife had a child. They wanted someone with whom he could play. So, the farmer brought in a baby mongoose.

Answer:- Because she did not trust and was scared that the mongoose might harm her child.

Answer:- When she realised the mongoose had actually protected her son from a snake, she repented her hasty action. She rushed outside in search of the mongoose, but it had already died. She sobbed and apologised for her hasty action.
