Answer:- Iswaran was an obedient servant. He worked as Mahendra’s cook. He was caring and hardworking. He took care of everything, including cooking food, washing clothing, and speaking with Mahendra late at night. He could tell infinite stories and experiences about a wide range of topics. He obeyed Mahendra with full dedication. So, he was an asset to Mahendra.

Answer:- Iswaran described the uprooted tree on the highway with his hands stretched out in a dramatic motion. “The road was deserted, and I was all alone,” he explained. Suddenly, I noticed what appeared to be an enormous bushy beast sprawled across the road. I was half-tempted to turn around and go back. But when I got closer, I realised it was a fallen tree with dried branches scattered across the ground.”

Answer:- Iswaran exaggeratedly narrated the tusker’s narrative. After escaping the timber yard, the Tusker stamped on bushes, tore up wild creepers, and shattered branches at will. The elephant became out of control and made its way onto the school grounds. It caused havoc in the area. Everyone at the school attempted to flee. No one was brave enough to face the tusker. Meanwhile, Iswaran took a stick from a teacher and approached the elephant. The beast collapsed as he hit its third toenail. He claimed to have controlled the tusker using a Japanese technique. However, this narrative is implausible, as it is impossible to conceive that a youngster could govern a wild elephant.

Answer:- Iswaran was an expert in storytelling, His way was adventurous and mysterious as well as dramatic. It was part of his nightly habit to entertain Mahendra. Mahendra could both listen to and watch the development of his story. Thus Iswaran seemed to more than make up for the absence of a TV.

Answer:- Mahendra calls ghosts or spirits a figment of the imagination as he did not believe in such things. One day Iswaran told him about a female ghost who had hold a foetus in her arms. On a full-moon night he woke up from his sleep and peered outside the window. When he saw the same figure, he became frightened and began to sweat heavily.
Question:- 6. Can you think of some other ending for the story?
Answer:- Mahendra should not have left the haunting house without first discovering the truth. The story may end in this way : One day Mahendra bravely approached the woman and inquired about her situation. As soon as Mahendra caught the woman, the secret revealed. It was none other than Iswaran, disguised as a lady.
